Angels In DC

On Saturday, August 14, 2010 during their “Second Saturday Screenings” event, all H-E-B pharmacies offered vaccines required for 7th grade entry, including a new meningitis vaccine  which protects against meningococcal meningitis. Meningitis Angels was happy to support this effort.

This web site is a project of Meningitis Angels. We are parents and survivors of bacterial meningitis.
Some of us have died and some have been left debilitated by  mostly preventable meningococcal,  pneumococcal and HIB meningitis.   We are here to share our stories, educate on this disease, advocate for prevention and support those families who join us.
Meningitis does not stop at the dorm room door. Infants, children, tweens, teens,  young adults and those with compormised immune systems are most at risk but anyone can get meningitis.

Please educate yourself and talk to your health care provider about vaccination to prevent these deadly diseases.
